How Deco Nights is played

Every mechanic and every number, including the ones that explain the quiet stretches.

The specification

SettingValue
Reels and rows5 × 3
Paylines15, fixed, left to right
Stake range30 to 15,000 coins
Line betTotal stake ÷ 15
Coin RTP96.2%
Hit frequency29.6% of paid spins
VolatilityHigh — deliberately
Free spins~1 in 179 paid spins, ~13 spins per run
Win of 10x stake or more~1 in 86 paid spins
Top line pay333× total stake (five Headliners)

Worked example. Stake 300 coins. The line bet is 300 ÷ 15 = 20. Three Sunbursts pay 204× the line bet, so that line returns 4,080 coins. Wins on different lines add together.

Why it feels spiky

Fifteen lines instead of twenty or twenty-five concentrates the same stake into fewer chances, and the pay weight sits further up the symbol table. The result is fewer paying spins — 29.6% against 49.5% on our sister site — and a much larger ceiling. Neither setup is better; they are different nights out. If flat runs frustrate you, the gentler game is the one to play.

Reading a win

  • Wins begin on reel 1 and run across adjacent reels, left to right.
  • Three or more matching symbols on a line pay. Two do not.
  • Only the highest win per line pays; different lines add up.
  • Paytable figures are multiples of the line bet, except the Midnight Star, which pays on the total stake.

The Headliner

Our wild substitutes for every symbol except the Midnight Star and appears on all five reels. It also pays alone: three, four or five on a line return 272, 1,088 and 4,998 times the line bet. Five Headliners on one line is 333 times your total stake, the biggest single result in the game.

Midnight Stars and the ladder

The Midnight Star pays wherever it lands, as a multiple of your total stake.

What makes the round worth waiting for is the multiplier ladder:

1st and 2nd×2
3rd and 4th×3
5th onwards×5

Runs average around thirteen spins, so most of a round is played at three or five times. Extra Midnight Stars during the feature add spins without resetting the ladder — a retrigger keeps you at the top.

The ladder is already included in the published 96.2% figure. The simulator plays the round exactly as the game does, spin for spin.

The four pots

Encore, Matinee, Headline and Late Show grow with every paid spin and can drop at random on any of them. There is no combination to chase. Stake size scales the chance proportionally up to a cap, and a dropped pot resets to its seed.

The pots pay coins. No cash value, no withdrawal, no exchange — the same as every other win here.

Coins and levels

  • The house opens you at 20,000 coins.
  • Spins earn XP; each level pays a coin bonus scaling with the level.
  • A house round is claimable every eight hours.
  • Below 1,500 coins there is a free 15,000-coin top-up, without limit. Given the volatility, you will use it.
  • Nothing is for sale. No shop, no coin packs, no payment form.

Randomness

Each reel carries a fixed symbol strip. Every spin picks an independent random position on each strip using the browser's random number generator and shows three consecutive symbols. Nothing is due, nothing is owed, and nothing adapts to how long you have been sitting there. A long flat run is exactly what high variance looks like.

The strips, paytable and evaluation code ship in /assets/js/slot.js. Read it rather than trust us.

Malfunction

A malfunction voids all plays and pays. Coins have no value, so nothing is owed either way. Clearing browser storage resets balance, level and statistics.

The room is still open

No account, no card, no download. Fifteen lines and a late finish.
